Instructor GalleriesInstructor InterviewsAlex Corll is currently a Lighting Technical Director at Sony Pictures Imageworks. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Savannah College of Art and Design, he worked at Magnetic Dreams Animation Studio in Television and Commercials. He has since worked on several feature films for such studios as Disney, Animal Logic and Imageworks including 'Suicide Squad', 'Peter Rabbit', 'Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse' and 'Spiderman: Far From Home'.
Alex Corll is one of the most talented artists I've ever had the privilege of working with. His talent, understanding of light, and dedication to his craft is evident in the quality of work he produces.
I first worked with Alex on Smurfs: The Lost Village, which at the time was his first animated feature. His well developed eye and knowledge of photography was evident in the quality of his work, and made him a strong member of the team. He also has a good sense of humor, which makes him a pleasure to work with, especially during intense delivery schedules. I look forward to working with him again soon.
